Green Chilis, Goldfish & A New Granddaughter

Greetings!

So what do green chilies, goldfish and a new granddaughter have in common? Our upcoming trip to Australia!!! It is hard to believe that nearly nine months has gone by and it is almost time to go meet our new granddaughter!! So whats going on in Australia. :-)
Missy and Wes have done much to prepare and now are patiently waiting on the day. There is such excitement on this side of the Pacific too as Larry & I are busy with all the things we must accomplish before our Melbourne trip in May! I will leave May 3rd and Larry will follow May 13th. We will return together May 23rd.
Our extra piece of luggage each is dedicated to bringing baby things....and American delicacies that they cannot purchase there. Your idea and their idea of delicacies may be very different.
Definition of Delicacies for Texans in Aussie Land
High on the list is Goldfish ( the little shaped crackers you eat...my son in law has a passion for them) French's Mustard, Wax Paper, Aluminum Foil, Ranch Style Beans, Green Chilies, Rotel Tomatoes , Dial Soap, Garnier Shampoo, Mary Kaye Make Up and Velveeta Cheese. If there was a way to get hydrogen peroxide past customs it would be right up there too. :-)

Missy and Wes have been busy on Kate's new little Aussie room... Wes has been moving and working on furniture and Missy has been sewing pillows and bed skirts and the such. She said it helped to keep her busy... I find that amazing with the pace she manages to keep with her very busy job, keeping a lovely house....and having quality time with Wes. She does it all...with little effort. Wally helps of course. :-) Wes is pretty amazing too.... He has been right on board with being informed by books, doctors and most important all those family and friend dads out there. Along with his job he helps with almost everything else you can imagine. Our Kate will be welcomed to this world by two parents that will be devoted to making her life safe and happy.

Missy had her final work day at the office on Friday, April 3rd and will work until after Kate is born from the house.... They have been to the prenatal classes, read all the suggested books and at this point... are prepared for their baby girl. We are too!

I will update when I hear from them... Kate's birth could be anytime from April 18th until the end of the month....

Your prayers for them during this time for a peaceful wait, safe and calm delivery for both Missy & Kate.... and the peace that passes all understanding for Wes...and all the rest of us on this side of the Pacific who wait excitedly would be most appreciated!

Blessings,

Elaine & Larry
